Summer Tour//Week Three

{above: we stop at Walmart quite frequently when we are on tour. This one I had to take a picture of...because it was the classiest Walmart I have EVER been to! Pillars? Yes, pretty classy!}

Week No. 3 of our tour was spent entirely in one of our favorite states ever-NY. It is a special place because its where my mother is from, and we have grandparents and a little host of cousins/uncles/aunts that live there. We gave four concerts, each in locations we hadn't sung in before, which was quite fun. We made lots of new friends and were so blessed by the generosity of each of the churches. (thank-y'all!) God also blessed our concerts and we saw so much fruit and His hand so evident at work everywhere we went. It was such an encouragement to hear testimonies of how He was working in the lives of so many people that we met.

The rest of the time of that week was spent with our relatives. Here are a few pictures. It was so great to pull out the work clothes and work outside harvesting produce, weeding, and washing/hanging laundry. We also washed windows, painted, and did other deep cleaning projects both for our grandparents and also in the bus, cleaning out and re-organizing. And our aunts and grandma let us have free rein of their kitchens which we loved. =)
Six of us went to a nearby berry farm and picked 85qts of berries in 1 1/2hrs. When you have such a big work crew, you just do everything in a BIG and a FAST way. =)
This year our strawberry season back home was late and we missed most of our berries. So it was a big blessing to be able to pick and freeze all of these. Our little bus chest freezer is now packed full of red. =)
I am so grateful for my grandparents and their godly example to us. It was so good to be back with them again and see them enjoying in their new little home, which most of us hadn't seen yet.
three generations of pea-shelling hands...=)
enjoying some time with a few of our cousins one evening.
One morning my mom and her sisters and her mother all went out for breakfast. That left us girl cousins to cook for the fifteen hungry men. =)
we had a cheerful cleanup crew!
We had a grand celebration on July 4th with about 45 cousins/uncles/aunts and my grandparents.
The day was complete with a little parade by the younger ones, lots of good food, football for the guys, oversized Dutch Blitz for the girls, DareBase for everyone, and good conversations all the way around,  We ended with sitting in the field watching the fireworks over the lake.
yes, the older sisters think its too bad that they are cousins. =)
competitive sisters. =)

yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD."
